Spicy Tomato Sauce – Satsebeli. No Cook Recipe (Great for Barbeque and Dipping). This is a No Cook Recipe. Just add spices, herbs, Garlic and Stir! Thats it! Ready to serve in 5 minutes. This Authentic Georgian Sauce is traditionally served with Barbecue meats of all kind. It is also served as a dipping sauce for breads and French fries. It is a staple in most Georgian and Russian households. I always have a jar of this in my refrigerator!

Recipe:

Tomato Juice – 1 cup

Tomato Paste – 1 tsp

Adjika (Hot Pepper Paste) – 1 heaping tsp

Salt – 1.5 tsp

Khmeli Suneli (may substitute with Curry powder) – 2 Tbsp

Pepper – 1 tsp

Coriander – 1 Tbsp

Cumin – 1/2 tsp

Smoked Paprika – 1/2 tsp

Cilantro – 1 large bunch

Garlic – 3 Large cloves

Pour your tomato juice in a bowl. Add tomato paste, Adjika or Hot Pepper Paste, Salt, Khmeli Suneli (may use Curry Powder), Pepper, Coriander, Cumin and Smoked Paprika. Whisk ingredients to combine until spices have dissolved into the Tomato Juice. Next, finely chop a large bunch of Cilantro (or 2 small bunches) and add to the bowl. Roughly chop 3 large cloves of Garlic and add to the bowl. Whisk together. Can be served right away but is better if refrigerated for at least 30 minutes. Enjoy and Happy Eating!
