Shish Tauok is an authentic Middle Eastern chicken dish, Shish means skewers and Tauok means chicken. The chicken cube skewers are marinated and grilled to perfection. The marination is the essence of the dish that gives the chicken it’s tenderness and best flavours. It is served with Toum, Hommous and Tabbouleh. Though it’s not very common in places around, I would say it’s a must try and it has always been my favourite ❤️

The flavors and ingredients are like a well conducted symphony that fills the heart with joy and bring smiles to one’s face ✨

SHISH TAOUK INGREDIENTS

FOR MARINATION
-Boneless chicken cubes and strips – 300g
-Onion paste (a fine paste of 1/2 onion and 2 garlic cloves)
-Tomato paste – 1TBSP
-Yoghurt – 1/2 cup
-Refined oil/ olive oil – 3TBSP
-Salt – 1 Tsp
-Dried parsley/ Fresh parsely – 1 Tsp
-Paprika powder – 1 Tsp
-Pepper powder – 1 Tsp
