Masarap na Chicken Cordon Bleu 😋
Ingredients:
Chicken breast
Slices Sweet Ham
Swiss Cheese
Paprika
Salt
Ground Black Pepper
Parsley (optional)
Breadings:
Flour seasoned with salt and pepper
Egg
Bread crumbs
Note: You can use any other cheese in this recipe.
Procedure:
– Place chicken breast in a plastic wrap. fold the plaatic wrap, so the chicken breast is in the middle, then pound it until it is thin enough to roll.
Note: Don’t pound the chicken too much for it not to be super thin. You can’t use it if your chicken is too thin.
– Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper and paprika. Add the parsley (optional). Add the Ham and cheese in the middle of the chicken breast. Roll the chicken then wrap it with the plaatic wrap to seal it. Place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
Note: If you don’t have time placing the chicken in the refrigerator for 30 mins then use a toothpick to bring it together and start coating it with breadings.
– For breading, coat the chicken with beaten egg, coat it with flour (seasoned with salt&pepper) , then coat it again with beaten egg, and, lastly;, coat it with bread crumbs.
– Deep fry the chicken in a medium heat until it is golden brown or slightly browner than golden brown
Note: I like my cordon bleu browner than golden brown when frying because it makes me at ease that the insides are properly cooked (this is just a personal preference).
