Balmos is a summer favorite that was inspired by the Austrian Hungarians who settled in Romania. Though Balmos resembles Mamaliga , which is also made from ground corn , there is a major ingredient that makes it different. The ingredient that makes it different is the liquid whey . When preparing Mamaliga , the ground corn is added to boiling water , with Balmos , the ground corn is added to boiling whey. The ingredients within this video are listed below… Pufta Buna!

Salt added as preferred
Ground corn ( Mali Extra ) used in this dish – as needed
