Tomato rice is one of the famous Malaysian cuisines.
Tomato Rice
Ingredients
Rice 3 cups ( Basmathi rice.)
4 cup of water
1/2 cup Milk
Tomato sauce 3 tablespoon
Salt 1 small spoon ( Check the water must have salt taste)
Sugar I teaspoon
1/2 Large Onion
Garlic 2 cloves
Ginger
Cinnamon (1) Cardamom ( 3 or 5 pieces)
Clove ( 3 – 5 pieces)
Lemongrass 2 stalk
Pandan leaves if available.
Ginger about 5 cm
Butter rough estimation of 2 tablespoon
Oil 2 tablespoon
Chicken Sambal
Ingredients
Finely grind ingredients:
1 Paprika ( Actual recipe uses about 20 dried chilies)
10 pieces of red chilies ( I use chilies from my garden)
! small spoon of Chilli Powder
1/2 Large onion
5 cloves of garlic
2 inches of ginger
Other ingredients:
½ -1 chicken (medium to small size)
a little bit of salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
* Marinate chicken with Turmeric, Salt, Grated Garlic and Grated Ginger about 2 tablespoons)
cooking oil, about 2 cups
2 pieces of lemongrass ( Please add Pandan leaves if available) I can’t find here.
1 cinnamon stick (can add star anise, cardamom pods, and cloves if you like)
1 tomato medium size
1 lemongrass
! small spoon Sugar
some water, for gravy
Milk if desired…
salt, to taste
Some fresh onions sliced for garnishing
Overall the sambal should have some sweet, salty, and spicy taste.
Acar or Salad
Ingredients
Pineapples Fresh or Canned
Cucumbers
Onions
Red Chilies
Carrots
2 tablespoons of Sugar
2 tablespoons of Vinegar
Little Salt
Or you may use Sushi Vinegar direct as it has sweet, sour and salty taste.

sedikit garam
2 sudu besar cuka
