Serves: About 4
Total Time: About 11min
Recipe:
– 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated hash brown potatoes
– 8 ounces diced ham
– 4 TBSP Butter, melted
– 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 3 large eggs, beaten
– 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
– Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
– Green chives to top & ketchup
Directions:
– Preheat a waffle iron to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the top and bottom of the waffle iron or coat with nonstick spray.
– In a large bowl, combine hash brown potatoes, melted butter, ham, cheese, beaten eggs, and paprika; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
– Press in potato mixture into the waffle iron (this will depend on the size of waffle griddle) , close gently and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 5 min. Repeat with remaining mixture.
– Top with chives, and drizzle with ketchup or desired sauce, and serve!
Styling Tips:
– For a crisper waffle, keep the hash browns in the freezer until ready to cook
– Make sure you have a functioning hot waffle iron to get a crispy waffle
