Restaurant Style Spicy Prawn Recipe With Green Bell pepper, Onion & Tomatoes – Prawn Karahi Recipe – Prawn Masala Recipe
This prawn masala recipe is quick and easy to make. It requires a special spice blend that does all the magic and brings in so much flavor to the dish.

Ingredients for making prawn kadhai –
* prawn – 300 gm / 11 oz approx (cleaned and deveined)
For gravy –
* onion – 1 cup finely chopped
* garlic – 1 teaspoon finely chopped
* dry bayleaf – 1
* cumin seeds (jeera) – 1/2 teaspoon
* Turmeric powder/haldi – 1/2 teaspoon
* garam masala powder – 1/2 teaspoon
* kasuri methi (optional) – 1/2 teaspoon
* kashmiri red chili powder – 1 teaspoon or paprika. Adjust the proportion according to your preference.
* salt – as per taste
* sugar – 1 teaspoon. Add more if you find gravy too sour.
For making tomato paste –
* red tomatoes – 2 large or 2 cups chopped
* ginger – 1 inch length and breadth
* garlic – 4 large for making paste
For the vegetables-
* capsicum(green bell pepper) – 1cut into chunky pieces
* onion – 1/2 medium or 1 small cut into chunky pieces and the leaves separated out.
* tomato – 1 small, seeds taken out and cut into large pieces
* coriander leaves (cilantro) – 2 tablespoons chopped
*oil – 2 tablespoons for gravy + 2 tablespoons for frying prawns and veggies
For karhai masala –
* coriander seeds (dhania) – 1 teaspoon heaped
* cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
* black peppercorns – 4 to 5
* 1 dry red chilli
***You can even add 1/2 a teaspoon of fennel seeds. I didn’t as I am personally not a great fan of it.
*** You can even drizzle some cream at the end.
Serve this with rice or roti.
