Difficulty: Very easy
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 45 min
Serves: 6 pieces
Cost: Low
Additional Note: Plus marination time
Ingredients
For the marinade:
• 600g of chicken breast (thinly sliced to 1 cm)
• 1 teaspoon of fine salt
• 1 teaspoon of black pepper
• 10g of extra virgin olive oil
• 2 tablespoons of spicy paprika
For the chicken cooking:
• 100g of white onions
• 40g of butter
• 100g of whole milk
• 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
Instructions
1. Begin by preparing the marinade. In a bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, olive oil, and paprika. Add the chicken slices and ensure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour, although overnight in the fridge would yield the best flavor.
2. Next, heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté them until they are soft and golden.
3. Dust the marinated chicken with the all-purpose flour and add them to the skillet. Cook the chicken on each side until it is golden brown.
4. Lower the heat, add the milk to the skillet, and cover. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
5. Serve the paprika chicken hot with your choice of sides.
Storage
You can store the paprika chicken in the refrigerator for a maximum of 1 day.
Chef’s Advice
If you prefer a milder flavor, use sweet paprika instead of the spicy variety.
