Hungarian goulash. We've been looking for this recipe for several years!

One day we found ourselves in Amsterdam before the New Year. And in one of the central restaurants, we had a chance to taste Hungarian goulash. It was an unforgettable experience. For several years after that, we ordered goulash in every restaurant where it was on the menu.

And now we invite you to cook with us the most delicious goulash of all that we have tried over the years.
The meat is tender and slightly spicy. This dish is very good to combine with mashed potatoes.
And, of course, It’s so easy a recipe. Let’s try it! Even a beginner can handle this recipe.

We need:
Meat (beef or pork) – 1,5 kg
Salt – 1 Tbsp,
Black Pepper – 1 Tbsp,
Bay leaf – 5 pcs,
Thyme – 1/2 Tbsp,
Sugar – 1 Tbsp,
Ketchup – 3 Tbsp,
Seasoning Goulash – 3 tbsp (ground paprika, marjoram, chili pepper, dried garlic..)
Garlic – 10 cloves,
Tomato – 3 pcs
Paprika- 2 pcs
Carrot – 3 pcs
Onions – 4 pcs
Vegetable oil for frying

– Take beef or pork – 1,5 kg and cut into chunks. Fry the meat in a pan.
– Add Salt – 1 Tbsp, Black Pepper – 1 Tbsp, Bay leaf – 5 pcs, Thyme – 1/2 Tbsp, then add 2 cups of water, cover and simmer over low heat for 30 min.
– Peel and chop: 4 onions, 3 carrots, 2 peppers, 3 tomatoes.
– Combine peppers and tomatoes with the meat. Add Sugar – 1 Tbsp, Ketchup – 3 Tbsp, Seasoning Goulash – 3 tbsp. Continue braising meat and vegetables over low heat with the lid closed for 10 minutes.
– Fry the onions and carrots separately. Combine with fried meat. Add 2 cups of water, cover, and simmer over low heat for 30 min, until tender.
– When the meat is ready, turn off the heat. Add 10 cloves of crushed garlic. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes. Goulash is ready!
