Although you can use different varieties of beans for hummus – white beans, black beans – Jacques Pépin sticks with traditional chickpeas for this hummus with feta recipe. If you don’t have tahini paste on hand, you can substitute peanut butter, as Jacques does here. Follow this recipe and you’ll have a satisfying snack or side dish within minutes.

What you’ll need: One 15 oz can of chickpeas, garlic, lemon, tahini (or peanut butter), hot sauce, salt, pepper, olive oil, feta cheese, chives, smoked paprika, red pepper.
