This was hands down the most epic beach fishing bite we have gotten into- and it was all on jigs with light action tackle. This was some of the best speckled trout and redfish action ever, and the fact it was in the surf was amazing! All you need is a normal fishing rod and a jig and throw it in the surf, and if they are there you will catch fish! WE will be doing more beach fishing and surf fishing for sure.

15 lb leader line
Favorite Phantom 7’0 Rod (normal rod we use for inlets)
Florida Fishing Products 3000 Osprey CE
Technique: Cast into the surf, into the deep spot directly after the shore break- try to cast far as you can to get on the second sand bar and jig it back to you like normal.
Grilled Redfish Recipe:
Season that Redfish with Garlic, Pepper, Paprika, and some herbs – throw it on the grill – when it’s almost done, squirt some lemon juice on there. Amazing.
