Today’s episode is about an easy ngohiong recipe. It is is a local lumpia delicacy in Cebu and a popular street food usually paired with ‘puso’ or rice wrapped and boiled in a casing made of woven palm leaves.

Ingredients you will need:
500 grams of minced pork
500 grams of bamboo shoot
1 onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp 5 spice powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp of soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
lumpia wrapper/spring roll wrapper
vegetable oil for frying
For the coating:
1 cup plain flour
¾ cup water plus more if needed
1 tbsp tbsp paprika
½ tsp 5 spice powder
For the dipping sauce:
3 tbsp spicy vinegar
3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
