Ingredients:

– 30 live, hard-shell blue crabs
– 2 tablespoons dill seed
– 2 tablespoons mustard seed
– 2 tablespoons cumin seed
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 2 tablespoons paprika
– 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
– 2 sprigs rosemary
– 10 sprigs thyme
– 3 sprigs dill
– 2 sprigs sage
– 1/2 bunch parsley

Instructions:

1. Using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle, crush the dill seed, mustard seed, and cumin seed.

2. In a 5-gallon stockpot, add the crushed spices, chili powder, paprika, red pepper flakes, rosemary, thyme, dill, sage, and parsley.

3. Fill the pot 3/4 full with water and bring it to a rolling boil over intense heat.

4. Add the blue crabs to the pot, cover it, and boil for about 20 minutes, or until all the shells turn red, and the meat is no longer translucent.

5. While boiling, stir the crabs occasionally to ensure even cooking.

6. Once done, remove the pot from heat and drain the water.

7. Serve the Delaware Blue Crab Boil hot with melted butter and lemon wedges.
