Restaurant style Daal Makhni

Ingredients:

Sabut mash daal (Whole black lentil) 1 Cup 200g (soaked for 1 hour)
Lobia (Black eye beans) 1/4Cup 40g (soaked for 1 hour)
Namak (Salt) 1tsp
Pani (Water) 1 litre or as required
Cooking oil 1/4 Cup
Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 medium
Tez paat (Bay leaves) 2
Adrak ( Crushed Ginger ) ½ tbsp
Lehsan (Crushed Garlic) 1 tsp
Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste
Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 2 tsp
Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or ( to taste)
Paprika powder (Kashmiri red chili) powder 1 tsp
Tamatar (Tomatoes) 3 medium
Hari mirch (Green chilies) 1-2
Garam masala powder ( Whole spices) 1/2 tsp
Zeera Powder (cumin powder) ½ tsp
Cream ¼ cup
Makhan (Butter) 2 tbsp
Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
Green chillies chopped

Directions:

In pressure cooker,add whole black lentil,black eyed beans,water ,salt and bring it to boil.
cover and cook until tender (approx. 35-40 minutes) (blend if needed)
-Cut tomatoes and blend it to make paste.
-In wok, add cooking oil, bay leaves, cumin seeds and mix.
-Add onion and fry until light golden.
-Add crusherd ginger and garlic and mix well.
-Add tomato paste and mix well.
-Add red chili powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,salt,Kashmiri red chili powder, and mix well.
-Add green chilies, fresh coriander and mix well.
-Now add grinded lentil mixture and mix well.
-Add water if needed for desired thickness, mix well and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
-Add cream, fresh coriander, green chilis, whole spices and cumin powder
-Garnish with butter, cream, coriander, chilies & serve!
