Chicken Kebab Recipe:
• chopped green, red, and yellow bell peppers
• chopped onions
• 1 TSP of black pepper
• 1 TSP of garlic powder
• 1 TSP of turmeric powder
• 1 TSP of paprika
• 12 cherry tomatoes
• 2 TSP of hot sauce
• 1 CUP of yogurt (check out our homemade yogurt video:)
• 1 TBSP of salt
*optional olive oil*
**leave overnight for better flavor
-Before anything preheat your oven to 400 degrees-
– First mix yogurt, black pepper, garlic, turmeric powder, salt, and paprika all into your chopped chicken.
– then start your kebabs with two chopped bell peppers then add your chopped chicken while adding two more chopped bell peppers and more chopped chicken pieces in between then two sliced onions with one more chopped chicken and finish it off with a cherry tomato to hold.
(You can choose any order you like but this is mine.)
– finally using stackable trays add water underneath so the chicken can cook evenly and more throughly.
Cook until golden brown and crispy.
Basbousa Recipe:
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup of yogurt
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 cup of ghee
• 2 TSP of vanilla extract
• 1 TBSP of baking powder
• 2 cups of corn meal
• 1 cup of flour
-Before anything preheat your oven to 400 degrees-
– First add your wet ingredients: mix your two eggs while it’s in the tray then add the yogurt, milk, ghee, and vanilla extract together. Mix well!
– Now add your dry ingredients: corn meal, baking powder, and flour. Then mix it until it looks smooth.
– Before putting into the oven lift up the tray and drop it (just a little bit) and drop it a couple of times to release any trapped air.
– Finally put it into your preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Basbousa Syrup Recipe:
• 1 cup of sugar
• 2 cup of water
• 2 TBSP of lemon juice
• 2 TBSP of cinnamon powder or your preference
-Before anything turn on you stove on high-
– First put your sugar in first with the cinnamon powder.
– Then add your water and lemon juice.
– Finally mix until the syrup turns into a brown color and take it off the stove to set aside until the basbousa is done.
– After the basbousa is done pour the syrup onto it and wait until it soaks up the syrup. Finally ENJOY!!
