Enjoy my Healthy eggs in tomato sauce recipe (shakshuka)! Itโs easy to make Keto Shakshuka, Low carb breakfast for you ๐
Ingredients needed for 2 portions:
1 large red onion
2 large red bell peppers
1 red chilli
2 cans of tomato
3 cloves of garlic
4 tablespoons of Olive oil
1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme
1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
2 teaspoons Sweet paprika
3 Bay leaves
salt and pepper
6 eggs
100g feta
10g fresh parsley
The method of a successful shakshuka party:
1. Slice your onions, red bell peppers and chilli.
2. Chop the garlic
3. Heat up your saucepan on the stove.
4. Pour olive oil, make sure it’s hot and then add the garlic. Cook until the smell gets legendary, then add the red onions and keep them on until they become soft.
5. Add thyme, paprika, smoked paprika, bay leaves, salt and pepper (as much as you like).Warm up your spices for a minute to release the flavours.
6. Add red bell peppers and canned tomatoes. Add water if you want more liquid.
Cook with a lid on until the peppers are soft.
7. Crack eggs into your shakshuka mix, sprinkle some salt and peppers. Cook with the lid on for 4-8min.
8. Job done! Eat it with feta and fresh chopped parsley or however else you like to.
