This video shows you how to make a 1 pound batch of my awesome, 99% fat free ground turkey Bratwurst recipe. I lost a bet with a good friend, who also posts food online… so I had to also make the video wearing Lederhosen and playing Polka music… because… Oktoberfest 🙂

This 0 point (blue and purple plan) bratwurst, will be used in my next video… my low point, gourmet Oktoberfest Burger.

** RECIPE **
* 1lb 99% fat free ground turkey
* 1 Tbsp beef flavored bouillon/granules (such as ‘Knorr’ brand)
* 1/2 tsp ground cumin
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
* 3/4 tsp dried mustard
* 1/2 tsp dried sage (might be found as ‘rubbed sage’ at your store).
* 1/2 tsp dried marjoram
* 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/4 tsp baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp water (trust me)
* 3/4 tsp caraway seeds, TOASTED in a pan for 2-3 minutes.
* 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
* (optional) 1/2 cup diced onion

Directions:
Mix it all together, allow to rest for 20-30 minutes before cooking.

Notes:
– Because this is 99% fat free ground turkey, it cooks FAST. If you overcook this, it will have a thin, slightly firm/crisp exterior, due to the baking soda.

– If you make this into 2-3oz portions… cook for 2 minutes per side over medium-high heat.

– If you make larger 3-4oz portions… cook 3 minutes per side over medium-high heat. Do not overcook it… there’s no fat content.
