This is a delightful product that I have bought on previous occasions. This paprika comes from Szeged in Hungary. The actual paprika is contained in a plastic bag within a beautiful cotton purse.
The detail to the packaging is beautiful and does justice to what is a first class paprika. Excellent product, would highly recommend. Received the paprika promptly and in excellent condition.
My husband was allergic to paprika, though when reading into it, we found out it was more likely to be the preservatives added to some brands than the paprika itself as he can eat peppers.
Im pleased to say that after using this Hungarian preservative free paprika, he suffered no ill effects what so ever and I will be using it from now on.
I only buy this sweet paprika as it is the best! Very aromatic, lovely colour. Yes, it is a bit pricey but worth every penny. Tried other brand but they always seem inferior compared to this one!
At last, a real, proper Hungarian sweet paprika – now I can make my real, authentic Hungarian goulash (from a real, authentic Hungarian recipe acquired, many years ago, in Hungary!)

Not the products fault but I would have preferred a more robust flavour, it does say “sweet”. Used a lot as we cook more or less everyday and like food with flavour so spices and herbs and similar flavourings are used frequently.
It has gone down, literally, well with my wife and our occasional guests who all like it, in fact prefer its sweetness to the more earthy taste I prefer.
So Ill continue to but this but get the other stuff just for me on the rare occasions when I cook just for myself..
The Best! The real stuff – theres no mistaking genuine Hungarian paprika. Wonderful flavor, great in almost any savory dish.
Please be careful when buying because so many companies play fast and loose and send you Spanish paprika which is nothing whatsoever like the real Hungarian product.
This drives me crazy because it can ruin a recipe if you use the wrong spice. Farkas sells you the real product.

With all the La Chinata pimenton etc available in UK supermarkets everywhere, I despaired of recreating my favourite Hungarian dishes here – the Spanish stuff is great, but not quite right… Luckily, this stuff from Szeged is the paprika sold in Hungary, sweeter, smokier, with a much more vibrant colour.
Its first use was in a delish csirkepaprikás, which looked and tasted echt. Jó étvágyat!
