At last, a real, proper Hungarian sweet paprika – now I can make my real, authentic Hungarian goulash (from a real, authentic Hungarian recipe acquired, many years ago, in Hungary!)
A little reiteration is never a bad thing. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know.
Great paprika and super tasty when I cook Hungarian goulash everyone asks how did I do it. Well worth higher price tag.
My husband was allergic to paprika, though when reading into it, we found out it was more likely to be the preservatives added to some brands than the paprika itself as he can eat peppers.
Im pleased to say that after using this Hungarian preservative free paprika, he suffered no ill effects what so ever and I will be using it from now on.
With all the La Chinata pimenton etc available in UK supermarkets everywhere, I despaired of recreating my favourite Hungarian dishes here – the Spanish stuff is great, but not quite right… Luckily, this stuff from Szeged is the paprika sold in Hungary, sweeter, smokier, with a much more vibrant colour.
