Hello and welcome !! back to my channel “THE NEXT CHEF”.Those who have come for the first time,let me introduce myself to them,i make cooking videos of simple healthy and tasty recipes at home,and my today’s recipe is ‘HOT FRIED CHICKEN’
For the recipe you’ll need the following ;
INGREDIENTS:
250 GM CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS/WINGS
200 ML BUTTERMILK
Or
1 CUP MILK+1 LEMON
OIL FOR FRYING
1 cup ALL PURPOSE FLOUR /MAIDA for coating
DRY SPICE RUB:
3 TABELSPOON RED CHILLI POWDER
1 TABELSPOON CUMIN/JEERA POWDER
1 TABELSPOON MUSTARD POWDER
1 TABELSPOON CURRY/CORIANDER POWDER
1 TABELSPOON GARLIC CHOPPED /GARLIC POWDER
SALT
FOR CURD DIP:
3 TABELSPOON THICK CURD/YOUGHURT
2 TABELSPOON MAYONNAISE
1 TABELSPOON GARLIC CHEESE SPREAD
BLACK PEPPER POWDER
SALT
DRIED OREGANO/ANY HERB OF CHOICE
DIRECTIONS :
~Prepare the dry rub by mixing all the spices mentioned under the heading dry spice rub.keep some part in a small container for later use.(spice oil)
~Prepare the butter milk by combining milk and lemon (if making homemade)
~Dry rub the chicken pieces with the spice mix and let marinate for 30 minutes.
~Heat enough oil for frying the chicken, use the same oil for making spice oil.
~Make the curd dip by combining the ingredients mentioned under ‘curd dip’. Set aside.
~Dip the chicken in butter milk and rest for 5 minutes. In a bowl take flour and coat the dipped chicken with it. Remove in a plate
~Fry the coated chicken for 7-8 minutes on medium flame (4 minute each side) ;adjust time and temperature according to the size of pieces.
~Remove in a paper napkin and layer on top of a wire rack. Pour or brush the spiced oil on top of chicken.
~Serve immediately with the prepared dip!!🍗🍗
