Homemade Texas Style Dry Rub on Chicken Thighs

*This is my first video EVER and misspoke a few times such as saying tablespoon vs teaspoon and also saying dishwasher instead of oven at one point, so sorry!….but we all know chicken don’t cook in the dishwasher 😆”

I’ve posted the ingredients to my recipe below but as always feel free to add more or less seasonings as you prefer. I like it this way and it came out perfect so if you follow my directions in general it’s going to come out yummy!

Ingredients:

6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of avocado oil
1/4 cup of brown sugar (I used dark but light is ok)
1 tablespoon of kosher salt
1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon of red pepper
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

*** If you noticed I don’t use exact measurements, most of my teaspoons or tablespoons are over flowing. I’d rather have more taste than none at all. I’ve been doing this recipe awhile so I just do it by heart now. However, if you use an exact measurement using the above you will have flavor and it’s going to work!***

400 degrees for 30 min total. Flip after 15 min. Test temperature at end to be sure chicken has reached at minimum 165 degrees internally.

Enjoy!
