Pepper steak, I love putting pepper on everything! This lovely dinner is simple yet delicious.

The star of the show, encrusted pepper is easy to make. Usually I like it a bit rare, but since I’m cooking for my wife as well she like’s it a bit overdone, so we compromise! The secret here are whole pepper corns, crushed or processed a bit to get the right texture. I like to add some other spices like onion powder and paprika to seal the deal.

Don’t be afraid of the pepper corn, once it’s cooked down it loses some of it’s strength and becomes somewhat of a crunchy delight. Trust me on this one, the coarser the pepper corn grinder, the happier you’ll be!

Super crispy potatoes, how can they be so crispy?
The secret is the pre-boil, but don’t over boil your tates! You simply want to get them started. Oil them up a bit, season and under the broiler she goes!
I shake them and flip them about every 10 minutes under a high broiler, and sooner rather than later out comes a super crispy delicious and healthy baked chip/french fry! You’ll love it, trust me here 🙂

My slaw recipe is similar to the store bought! I honestly enjoy giving out my secret, it’s so simple! Sweet relish, a bit of sweetness sugar/honey, mayo and vinegar will produce that flavor profile just like deli slaw! This sauce will also produce a great macaroni salad, I haven’t yet tried potato salad but might as well do the hard guess and suggest that it definitely will produce that deli style flavor profile for potato salad (add some scallions? We shall see :))

A simple cucumber salad, Hungarian American style tops it all off.
