Shish Tawook (also spelled as Taouk) is a widely popular chicken dish in the Middle Eastern countries. The word Shish and Tawook both have Turkish origin, Shish means ‘skewers’ and Tawook means ‘chicken’. While each country may have their own version of Shish Tawook, the basis is the same, cubed chicken marinated in spiced yogurt and grilled on skewers to perfection.

Its a healthy meal because of its high protein and low fat contents.

Can be served as platter with pita bread or rice, hummus (video link below), fries and salad.

INGREDIENTS
Chopped Garlic 4 cloves
Onion Powder 1 tsp
Garlic Powder 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
White Pepper Power 1 & 1/2 tsp
Paprika 1 Tbsp
Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Yogurt 3 tbsp
Olive Oil 1/4 cup
Chicken cubes 500g
