This a low carb friendly meal that can be made in under 30 mins!
If you’re not a fan of salmon or asparagus you can substitute it for any other fish or protein. You can substitute asparagus for any other vegetable as well. The Alfredo sauce is vegan but if you want to use dairy products you can just substitute to dairy but honestly the vegan alfredo sauce tastes just as good or even better!
Alfredo Sauce Recipe:
3-4 Garlic Cloves (diced)
3 Tbsp of vegan butter (or any butter)
1/4 Cup of vegetable broth (you can opt out but it gives the sauce an additional rich flavor)
Salt and Pepper to your desire
1 cup of parmesan cheese (grated or ground, I used Follow your heart brand vegan cheese)
1 1/2 cups of Heavy whipping cream (I used Silk brand non dairy cream)
1 tsp of nutmeg
1/2 tsp of lime or lemon zest (optional)
You can add fresh herbs like basil into the alfredo sauce as an option.
Salmon All purpose Seasoning mix:
1 tsp of each of the the following:
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Sage (Or Oregano)
Ground Mustard (or Mustard seeds)
Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp of each of the following:
Smoked Paprika
Cumin
1 Tbsp of brown sugar
If you want to an additional spicy kick, you can add 1tsp of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
Mix all together and rub on the salmon
