Traditional Chili Recipe
2lb Ground Beef
1-Small yellow onion diced
1-Green bell pepper diced
2-Tbsp olive oil
1-15oz can crushed tomatoes
1-15oz can tomato sauce
1-14.5oz can diced tomatoes (drained)
1-6oz can tomato paste (2 Tbsp)
1-15.5oz can of Brooks Chili Beans ( I used Mild)
*1/2 cup of water (for a looser consistency) skip if you like it thick. You can also add more tomato paste for thickness.
2 Tbsp minced garlic
3-Tbsp Chili powder
1-Tbsp paprika
Seasoned salt
Sea salt
ground black pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
1 Tbsp sugar
2 dashes hot red chili sauce (optional)
**For Chili Mac- 3/4 cup uncooked elbow macaroni shells.
Shredded cheddar (optional)
Sour cream (optional)
Diced purple onion, OR chopped green onion (optional)
Serve with Town house buttery crackers or corn bread.
Heat a large skillet at medium to high heat. Add olive oil to skillet; allow oil to heat 2 min. Toss in diced onion and green bell pepper. Allow to sweat 2 min, add in ground beef. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, and ground black pepper. Cook 10 min (or until brown all through) stirring consistently.
Drain off grease*. Put ground beef mixture into preheated slow cooker. Combine chili beans, diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, paste, and sauce. Fill tomato sauce can midway with water add in (or 1/2 cup) Stir until well combined. Add Minced garlic, chili powder,paprika, sugar, onion powder and salt to taste. Allow to simmer 2hr. Taste* if you desire more spice add red chili sauce.
In last hour add in elbow macaroni (optional)
Once the elbow macaroni is tender it is ready to serve w/ topping of your choice.

Diced purple onion, OR chopped green onion (optional)
Good with Town house buttery crackers or corn bread.

You can turn my recipe into fiesta style chili by adding 1/4 cup diced jalapeños.
Red chili taco sauce (2 Tbsp)
Only a 1/2 can chili beans, and 1/2 can black beans.
Cilantro
Top it with sour cream, cheese, and diced purple onion (or green onion)
Diced avocado 🥑
Squirt some lime juice over it. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy 😉

From this recipe, I would skip these ingredients. personal OPINION.
* ½ cup chicken broth( the broth may add a nice flavor, I’ll experiment with this in the future but the rest is unnecessary.
