📜Old Fashion Stuffed red Peppers
-There are always those amazing combinations of flavors that stay
with you from childhood, no matter how long it’s been.
🫑The bell peppers are excellent in this recipe because they are
strong enough to hold their shape, becoming a perfect vessel for the
stuffing. Bell peppers come in different colors, from green to yellow,
orange, and red, depending on their stage of ripeness. The green
bell pepper is the least ripe and less sweet, while the red peppers
are the most mature and sweet
☺️A hearty, healthy, and delicious favorite, these colorful stuffed
bell peppers are filled with tomatoey seasoned ground meat and
rice mixture — a comforting old-fashioned dinner from my childhood
worth revisiting! It’s a gloriously easy and balanced meal loved by
the entire family.
📍Ingredients:
• Onion: 2 pieces (150 g or about 5.3 oz)
• Carrots: 2 pieces (125 g or about 4.4 oz)
• Garlic: 3 cloves
• Rice: 150 g (about ¾ cup, uncooked)
• Tomato paste (concentrate): 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
• Sugar (brown): 1 teaspoon (or to taste)
• Minced beef: 1 kg (about 2.2 lbs)
• Sweet peppers (bell peppers): 5 pieces
• Salt and pepper: To taste
• Chili flakes: A pinch (to taste, for a touch of heat)
• Parsley: 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley (for aromatic
flavor)
For the sauce:
-finely chopped tomatoes 5 pcs.
-salt and pepper
✅Simmer on medium-low heat, covered, for about 25-35 minutes.
✅Оr put in the oven at 200C (390F) for 35-45 minutes
