Sish tawook is a great chicken recipe that tastes delicious. The chicken is marinated overnight in yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and spices.
The chicken can either be grilled in skewers or as chicken tenders or chicken thighs.
Ingredients:
1 to 2 pounds od cubed chicken breast, chicken tenders or chicken thighs
5.3 OZ (3/4 cup) of plain Greek yogurt or plain regular yogurt
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
juice of 1 lemon (1/4 cup)
4 to 6 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 teaspoon of dry oregano
1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 pinch of cardamon
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of fresh ground ginger
fresh ground pepper.
