Hello my lovelies! I hope everyone is having a lovely day. This quarantine has made me miss going out for Taco Tuesday. Today, I decided to make some tasty Mexican street tacos, Carne Asada (Steak) & Pollo Asado (Chicken) Tacos. You don’t need to book a ticket to Mexico or go to Taco Tuesday to enjoy these tacos. CHICKEN TACO (POLLO ASADO) RECIPE
• 3 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast (Can use some thighs instead)
• Less than ½ a bag of California Chili Pods
• ½ Tbsp Chili powder (optional for additional spice)
• 5 large cloves of garlic (blend with cooked chili pods)
• 1 small yellow onion (boil half with chili pods and blend the other half with cooked chili’s/onion)
• 1 Tbsp Smoked paprika
• ½ tsp cumin
• ½ Tbsp Oregano
• ½ Tbsp Salt
• 1 tsp Knor
• 1 tsp Black pepper
• ½ small lime
• ½ small orange
• 1 Tbsp Olive oil
• ½ Tbsp white vinegar
STEAK TACO (CARNE ASADA) RECIPE
• 2.19 pounds beef top round London broil (use any meat)
• ¼ cup Soy sauce
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp Knor
• ½ tsp black pepper
• ½ small orange
• ½ small lime
• 5 gloves minced garlic
• ½ Tbsp White Vinegar
• 1 Tbsp Olive oil
• 1 tsp Onion powder
• ¼ cup chopped cilantro
AVOCADO CILANTRO LIME SAUCE
• ½ cup sour cream
• ¼ cup Mayo
• ½ small avocado
• 1/4 cup cilantro
• 3-4 cloves garlic
• 1 Tbsp lime juice
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
TOPPINGS
• 1 thinly chopped red onion
• Bunch of chopped cilantro
• Sliced lime
TORTILLA
• Flour or corn tortilla
• Some vegetable oil to toast tortilla
