Welcome (back) to the SeeSaw!

Today we have another week of our family meals to share. Hands down Toney’s favourite meal this week was the chicken wings – he said they were the best he’d had since we left the U.S.! Caleb and I probably just preferred the ribs – although it was close.

Wings – dry rub – 1tsp each of cayenne pepper, garlic powder, celery salt, brown sugar and mustard powder. Hot sauce – 2 Tbsps cider vinegar, 2 tsps smoked paprika, 1 Tbps worcesterhire sauce, 2-3 Tbsps hot chilli sauce (we use Sriracha), 2 Tbsps maple syrup, 1 Tbsp chipotle paste.

Ribs – Dry rub – 50g brown sugar, 2 Tbsps smoked paprika, 2 Tbsps Mustard powder, 1 tsp celery salt, 1 tsp garlic powder. Wet Baste – 250ml American style mustard, 150ml cider vinegar, 2 Tbsps maple syrup, 75g brown sugar, 2Tbsps worcestershire sauce, 1-2 tbsps hot chilli sauce, 2 tsps chilli powder (combine in a saucepan and cook for 10 mins until sugar is dissolved).
