Pork Chops are Filipino-style pork marinated in soy sauce, calamansi juice or lemon juice and garlic. This fried pork chop recipe will produce tender and juicier pork chops.The secret lies on the slice of meat. The thicker the cut, the juicier the meat becomes – as long as they are cooked correctly. Tenderize the pork before marinating also make it tender. So easy to make yet packs with amazing flavor that’s perfect with steamed rice!
INGREDIENTS
4 pork chop OR bone-in and about 1/2-inch thick
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup calamansi juice
of pinch paprika (optional )
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced or freshly squeeze
canola oil
INSTRUCTION
1. Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops.Squeeze fresh garlic
2. Transfer into bowl and marinate with paprika, soy sauce , garlic powder and lemon or lime juice.Mix well and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
3. Heat the canola oil over medium to medium-high heat. Flip and cook until the chops are golden brown on the other side, 1 to 2 minutes (make sure no pink juices remain). Remove to a plate and repeat with the remaining pork chops.
4. Delicious and simple! Serve with smashed new potatoes or steamed rice.
