Hungarian Paprika & Tomato Stew (lecso)

paprikas (sweet or hot depending your liking); as much as you wish
8-12 tomatoes peel skin, quartered; the amount is depending on how many paprikas you have
salt to taste
water as needed
oil as needed
2-3 onions, chopped

Remove seeds from paprikas, slice not too thin but also not too thick.
Heat oil, saute onion until translucent, add in sliced paprika; if your
paprika are fresh and crunchy, most likely you will need not water, but
otherwise, add a littler water so bottom won’t burn; stir occasionally
and cook until paprikas are a little tender.
Add in salt, stir, followed with peeled, quartered tomatoes. Cook for 12-15 minutes further.
Serve with bread.

You can add cubed bacon or scrambled eggs into the lecso while still cooking, if you wish.
