This is one of many traditional Hungarian cooking recipes of my grandmother and mother who prepared this for their family and friends during gatherings or special occasions that they celebrated with their family or friends. The combination of the sauerkraut with the smoked ham, vegetables and spices gives this dish a unique flavor. It can be served with rice, potatoes, or rye bread. Enjoy! Jó étvágyat!
