How to make Oven Fried Drumsticks | with Roasted Asparagus

Oven Fried Drumsticks are flavorful and easy to make. My tutorial will give you a step by step process to the best drumsticks you’ll ever have!

Everyone loves fried chicken! This simplified recipe will have some delicious and juicy fried chicken on the table in about 1 hour.

The flour is seasoned with paprika and poultry seasoning, paired with curry and creole for that extra boost. The chicken is coated with the seasoned mixture and placed on a baking sheet coated in melted butter. That’s right, Butter! We all know butter makes everything better!

This recipe is not only for drumsticks. In fact, this would work for any cut of dark meat, including thighs, quarters, and wings.

This recipe is paired nicely with some Oven Roasted Asparagus.

CHICKEN RECIPE:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon curry powder
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
2 teaspoons creole seasoning
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder/Herb Blend
1/2 cup butter
Family-sized pack of Drumsticks

Heat the oven to 450 F. Line a baking pan with heavy-duty foil.

In a zip-lock bag, combine the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, curry powder, creole seasoning, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning.

Cut the butter into pieces and place them on the foil-lined baking pan. Place into the oven to melt. Keep a watchful eye on them so that the butter doesn’t burn.

Coat the chicken with the seasoned flour mixture, shaking about three legs at a time in the bag.

Place the chicken in the melted butter in the prepared pans.

Bake them for 30 minutes. Turn the chicken over and bake 15, when golden brown.

Serve with your favorite sides.

Tips:
– Have the seasoned flour mixture and chicken ready to go before putting the baking pan with the butter in the oven so you can watch the butter carefully to be sure it doesn’t burn.
-Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, should be over 165 F. I generally like to cook my drumsticks to 175 F.

ASPARAGUS RECIPE:
1 bunch of Asparagus
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Parmesan Cheese, Grated.

Preheat the oven to 450F. Line a baking sheet with foil.

Coat the lined baking sheet in olive oil, and spread the Asparagus across the pan.

Be sure to mix them around to ensure they are all coated with oil.

Sprinkle generous amounts of salt, pepper, garlic, and Parmesan cheese onto the sprigs. Mix them up.

Bake for 15 minutes.
