How to make KFC hot wings (hot, smoked paprika flavor)

In this video, I will try to make KFC hot wings based on the recipe that was revealed on the KFC Netherlands Instagram account. My first attempt was made with chicken drumsticks and it was a bit under seasoned and I had a lot of flour left, so I adjusted the recipe. To finish the smaller amount of leftover flour, I also fried some strips of chicken breast.

In the end, it doesn’t taste the same as the KFC hot wings, since I mainly taste the hot, smokey paprika flavor (I used La Chinata smoked paprika powder – hot version), but it is still very delicious. It takes quite a lot of time and effort to make these fried chicken wings (I think you also need three clean sieves to really make them perfect and I am not sure if the frying oil can still be re-used), so I will probably only make them a few times a year. It was also a lot of fun to learn the scoop and lift technique, which creates the flakes on the crispy crust.
