Ingredients for Falafel Recipe
Dried chick peas – 1 cup
Parsley – 1 bunch
Coriander leaf – 1/3 bunch
Garlic cloves – 3 to 5
Onion – 1 large
Salt – as per taste
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Paprika or chilli powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1 tsp
All-purpose flour – 2 tbsp
Direction
Put the chickpeas in a large bowl. Let it soak in water overnight then wash and drain
Put washed & drained chickpeas into food processor or mixy jar. Add parsley, paprika, black pepper, garlic, salt, coriander leaf & jeera powder. Pulse a little bit at a time until the mixture is finely ground. After that add 1 tsp baking soda and 2 tbp of all-purpose flour and mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover & refrigerate for atleast one hour and after one hour shape into 1 inch balls
Heat the oil on medium high until it bubbles softly. Carefully drop the falafel in the oil and fry 3 to 5 minutes in medium brown as the outside.
