In this video I show you a very simple recipe cooking turkey gizzard. It can be wild turkey, turkey from the grocery store, or even chicken.
You will need:
– fat, bacon or oil
– onions (purple or white)
– salt, pepper, paprika
– gizzard (1 turkey, or 7-10 chicken)
– sour cream

Saute the bacon (or just use lard or oil) and onions, salt, pepper and lots of paprika. Add the cut up gizzard. The gizzards is kinda chewy and rubbery so make sure you cut it into bite sizes. Add enough water for it to form a sauce – the thickness is up to you. Bring to a boil, then cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Add 1-2 tablespoon sour cream and mix it.

You can serve it with pasta, mashed potatoes, rice or even bread and whatever kind of vegetables you like.
