today were making a deep dished smoked cheese meat pie from scratch. really cheap and easy to make. a hearty meal at its best. recipe written below

pie crust
1 and 1/2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup self raising or rising flour…both sifted
125g butter chopped
1large egg yolk or 2 small egg yolks
up to 1/3 cup water
fridge 30 mins
20 cm springform tin and pre heat oven 200 degrees c
bake 20 mins with rice in
back 15 mins with rice out
filling
little olive oil
2 onions chopped small
2 cloves garlic crushed or 2 heaped tea sp jar garlic
500g beef mince
1 and 1/2 table sp corn flour
400g can diced tomatoes
1 table sp parsley chopped or 1 tea sp dry
1 table sp oregano chopped or 1 tea sp dry
the egg white or whites
cracked pepper
cheese topping
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
150g or 1 and 1/3 cup grated smoked cheese
sprinkle paprika on top
pre heat oven 190 degrees bake 15 mins
turn down to 180 degrees 30 mins until topping set
