Ingredients:
1 bunch of fresh asparagus (trimmed)
2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
1 tsp garlic powder (or 2 minced garlic cloves)
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried thyme/oregano)
½ tsp paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare Asparagus: Wash and trim the tough ends of the asparagus stalks. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
Season Asparagus:
Place the asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Toss the asparagus to coat evenly with the seasoning and oil.
Bake:
Spread the asparagus out in a single layer for even roasting.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the stalks. Thicker stalks may take longer.
Optional Garnish:
For a cheesy touch, sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the asparagus during the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the asparagus just before serving for a zesty flavor.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving dish.
Serve hot as a side dish or enjoy on its own!
