Fresh ingredients Cajun mince
Ingredients
500g mince
4-6 plum tomatoes, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tbsp cape herb& spice Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp smoke paprika
1 tbsp ginger, garlic & pimento seasoning
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp onion powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
Sauce – 1 large tomato, 1 large onion, 1 large pepper, 2 garlic cloves, 1cm ginger, 4 carrots, 3 small potatoes
Method
Blend the sauce ingredients until tiny pieces or until smooth.
In a slow cooker dish, add the chopped onions, peppers, garlic and ginger. Then add Cajun seasoning, paprika, ginger garlic & pimento powder, chilli powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & black pepper. Then add the sauce mixture.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or until cooked. You can add veg stock if you would like more liquid.
