Dry Rubbed Barbecue Seasoned- Crispy Chicken Thighs

We used the best organic, free range skin on, bone in chicken thighs.
our barbecue seasoning is a great seasoning that you can use on potato chips, fries or onion rings. It has nice sweet and smoky flavor with a touch of heat. Make sure you are using a smoked paprika to ensure the smokey flavor.

Barbecue seasoning-
Ingredients:
1 TBSP- brown sugar
1 tsp- smoked paprika
1 tsp- onion powder
1 tsp- granulated garlic
1 tsp- kosher salt
Pinch- cayenne pepper
Coat the chicken thighs liberally with the seasoning.

We placed our chicken in a cast iron skillet over medium heat with 1/2 cup of olive oil. Let the oil heat thoroughly.
Place the chicken skin side down in the hot oil, do not move the chicken, fry for 12 minutes then place in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Remove the chicken form them oven and place back on cooktop, turn chicken to bottom side and cook for an additional 10 minutes to
get the bottom nice and browned. Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before cutting into it.
