Today, I made paprika chicken in a cream sauce with rice
Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1.25 cups water
Pinch of salt
2 chicken breasts
1-2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp paprika
1.5 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp sage
1 tbsp allspice
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup cream
1 cup water or chicken stock
1-2 tbsp cornstarch
Directions:
Rinse rice. In a pot, cook rice with water and salt until it boils. Turn heat down, then let it simmer for 18 minutes.
Chop chicken into bite-size pieces. Cook in skillet with oil. Add paprika, garlic, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cook 3-5 minutes on each side.
Add cream and water. Stir well. Let simmer 3-5 minutes. Add cornstarch. Let simmer another 2-3 minutes.
