Hi Chefs! While visiting friends in Dallas TX, I tasted the BEST collard green from Pecan Lodge. I was so inspired, I created my own recipe. They’re smokey, sweet with a dash of spice.

Collard Greens ( 1 Bag cleaned & Cut)
4 oz. Butter
1 c. Onion (diced)
1 Tbsp. Liquid Smoke
3 Slices of Bacon (diced)
1 c. Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp. Smoked Paprika
1 Tbsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1/2 c. Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tbsp. Garlic (chopped)
4 c. Water
1/4 c. Hot Sauce OR 1/2 tsp. Cayenne
