COFFEE CHILI RUB RECIPE:
1 tbsp finely ground espresso or coffee of choice
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp kosher salt
2 tbsp raw sugar
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp crushed chile de arbol or crushed red pepper flakes
1 tbsp black pepper
COFFEE RUBBED BEEF SHORT RIBS BBQ SAUCE:
1/3 cup espresso or strong coffee
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp chipotle powder
2 tbsp dark rum
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/3 cup chipotle hot sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp melted butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
Mix ingredients in a sauce pan and cook over low heat until butter melts and is well combined.
