Chicken Biryani is an authentic Indian Delicacy, it’s mouth watering and good fragrance from the whole and ground Spices. This recipe is easier than most recipes. COOK LIKE A NATIVE
Chicken Marinate
2lb Chichen thighs and Drumsticks(take skin out)
2 Cups Yogurt (I used greek yogurt)
1 tsp Tumeric Powder
5 Garlic Gloves(crushed)
1 tsp Ginger powder(fresh ginger is fine)
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Salt
1tbsp Chicken Knorr Seasoning (optional)
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 lemon Juice
Whole Spices for Boiling Rice
7 Whole Pepper Corn or Blackpepper
3 Star Anise
1 Cinnamon sticks
2 bay leaves
5 green Cardamoms
To cook Biryani
2 Cups Jasmine rice( any good rice)
4 Shallots or 1 large onion
½Cup Ghee or Olive oil (any cooking oil is fine but ghee gives it that flavor)
1 Cup Sliced Cilantro (use half to cook Biryani and some for Garnishing)
