Here’s a recipe for beef paprikash, a delicious Hungarian dish made with tender beef, paprika, bell peppers and cream. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs (700g) beef stew meat, cut into cubes
1 knob of butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped or sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
1 tablespoon tomato paste
3 cups beef broth or hot water (plus additional water while cooking)
1 red bell pepper, sliced or chopped
1 green bell pepper, sliced or chopped
2 tablespoon heavy cream or sour cream
2 dried bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste or any local dried seasonings
Fresh or dried parsley for garnish
Serve with mashed potato, pasta or rice.
