Baked Shawarma Rice
Ingredients:
Java Rice:
Rice (2 cups)
Water (enough to cook rice)
Turmeric (1/2 tbsp.)
Annatto/ Atsuete Powder (1 tsp.)
Ground Chicken Mixture:
Ground Chicken or any Meat of your Choice (500 grams) – Sautéed
Greek Yogurt (2 pack/ 200 grams)
Lemon Juice (half)
Garlic (6 cloves) – Minced
Paprika (1/2 tbsp.)
Oregano (1/2 tbsp.)
Cumin (1/2 tbsp.)
Turmeric (1/2 tsp.)
Salt and Pepper to Taste
White Sauce:
Greek Yogurt (1 pack/ 100 grams)
Garlic Powder (1 tsp.)
Lemon Juice (1 tbsp.)
Cucumber (1 medium) – Diced
Tomatoes (4 medium) – Diced
White Onion (1 medium) – Diced
Cabbage (250 grams) – Strips
Purple Cabbage (250 grams) – Strips (OPTIONAL)
You can also add Cheese!
