This recipe for Baked Chicken in Butter and Cream was the signature dish for Stephenson’s Old Apple Farm Restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri, which is now closed. I stumbled across the recipe in a vintage 1967 cookbook from the farm – and it’s nothing short of amazing. It’s sort of like fried chicken, but cooked in the oven and super duper moist. It’s a must make and one of the easiest recipes I’ve ever made. It’s crazy how good this for how simple the recipe is.
