I found the recipe for baked burgers on GetFitLaura.com, and I’ve always wanted to try baked bacon – so why not combine them and make baked bacon cheeseburgers? Easy, low-carb keto and delicious!

The instructions below are just for the burgers. The bacon requires the same oven temperature (400°F/204°C), which is convenient. Just preheat the oven, spread your bacon slices in a single layer on parchment / baking paper on a baking sheet (they can be touching as they will shrink, but don’t overlap them or they’ll stick together). Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes for chewy bacon or 25-30 minutes for crispy bacon. I would just put them in at the same time as the burgers, and take them out together if you like your bacon chewy, or leave the bacon in the oven while the burgers rest if you prefer crispier bacon.  Either way, we think you’ll really enjoy these.

BURGERS:
Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 18 minutes Serves: 4 Calories 264.1

INGREDIENTS
• 1 lb / 453g lean ground beef
• 1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 tsp ground mustard
• 1/4 tsp paprika
• 4 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favourite kind)

METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 400°F/204°C. In a medium mixing bowl, mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce and seasonings until combined.
2. Press mixture down into an 8×8 square baking pan. Bake for 18 minutes, until no longer pink and cooked through. A meat thermometer inserted in the centre should read 160°F / 71°C.
3. Carefully drain excess grease from the pan. Top meat with cheese slices and place back into the oven until melted, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Allow to rest for 5 minutes and cut into 4 squares. Serve with your favourite toppings and condiments.
