Here I share the Authentic Cajun Bayou ‘Dirty Rice’ Recipe.
As a lover of all things Cajun , have fun making this very simple, Healthy and & Great Flavors Dish. You will understand when you make it.

1 lb Sausage of your choice, Ground or Links (Cut in 1/2″ slices, then cut that in half. I like the hotter sausage for the Cajun Bite !

5 strips of Bacon , cut into 1″ pieces.
1 Bell pepper
1 large Onion
3 stalks Celery
4 Cups Vegetable Broth
2 Cups Rice (I like Carnita)

Spices
2 tablespoons of
* Garlic Powder
* Black Pepper
* Cayenne Pepper
* Paprika (True Hungarian )
* Cajun or other Spices

Brown your Sausage and Bacon until nicely done over medium low.

Add the diced Pepper, Onion & Celery, cook for 10 minutes or until nicely translucent.

Add your 4 cups of Broth and 2 cups of Rice. Bring to a boil.
Add your Seasonings. Salt/Pepper to Taste. I also had about 5 dashes of Tabasco.

Cook for 20 minutes on low and covered. Check for moisture and if the rice is done every 5 minutes after until it is good. You want it slightly Moist and easy to get your spoon it. Don’t over cook !

This is a great side dish with Meats and Chicken.

Enjoy !
