Try to cook this Hungarian speciality: It’s the Green bean casserole or layered string bean. It is made from yellow beans in Hungary. Enjoy your meal!
Ingredients:
– 1000 g yellow (or string or green) bean
– 700 g minced pork
– 1 medium onion
– 2-3 cloves of garlic
– 200 g rice
– 500 g sour cream
– 250 g grated cheese
– salt&pepper, sweet paprika powder, parsley
– 3 tbsp cooking oil
– a little butter and breadcrumbs

2. Hungarian layered cauliflower casserole recipe
The Hungarian layered cauliflower is a very flexible casserole meal. You can make lots of substitutions based on your dietary restrictions.
The traditional layered Cauliflower is very popular in Hungary and often served in canteens or in the lunch menu of restaurants. If it’s not breaded, which is the most frequently used preparation, cauliflower is generally cooked as a soup or as a layered dish. Cauliflower consists of minced pork, rice, sour cream and cheese.

Ingredients:
– 1 large head cauliflower
– 1 lb minced pork shoulder or leg
– 1 medium onion
– 2 tbsp oil
– 1 tbsp tomato purée
– 1 tbsp paprika powder
– 5 oz grated cheese
– 2 cup sour cream
– 5 oz white, long grain rice
– salt, pepper

3. Hungarian layered savoy cabbage casserole
Ingredients:
1 large savoy cabbage
1 lb minced pork shoulder
1/2 lb boiled rice
2 medium onion
3 tbsp tomato paste
oil
ground black pepper
salt
1 tsp paprika
2 cup sour cream or bechamel (white) sauce

4. Hungarian Layered – Scalloped Potatoes Casserole recipe
Hungarian layered potatoes or scalloped potatoes or potatoes Casserole (in Hungarian: Rakott krumpli or rakott burgonya) are a great alternative to a traditional baked potato. Sour cream, potatoes, and hardboiled eggs all baked together…little ingredients, great food.
A Hungarian culinary classic that is not difficult to assemble.
The main star here is the amazing Hungarian smoked sausage!

– 2 lbs potatoes
– 7 eggs
– 1 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
-1 tablespoons fat
– 2 cups sour cream
– 1/2 lb sausage or chorizo
– 1/4 lb sliced bacon
